When I talk about a mood-stabilizing diet, I mean a conscious selection of foods that help me stay stable. It&#8217;s important to me that it tastes good, that I&#8217;m full, that it does me good. Yes, to achieve that I am also prepared to give up cherished, supposed pleasures. (The term means &#8220;few carbohydrates&#8221;) It&#8217;s easy to find like-minded people under this catchphrase, and many guides and cookbooks have already been published. The crucial factor for me is whether I can remain stable with it, but not whether this diet is currently fashionable.<\/p>\n<p>While reading, I came across some astonishing connections between the psyche and nutrition. Among other things, I did not know,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>that you can eat the &#8220;molecules of feelings&#8221;;<\/li>\n<li>that the brain needs &#8220;omega-3 oil&#8221; to function properly;<\/li>\n<li>that the synergy of vitamin D and omega-3 has a stronger influence on behavior than any psychotropic drug;<\/li>\n<li>that the B vitamins are the bottleneck for the serotonin metabolism;<\/li>\n<li>that the &#8220;sun hormone&#8221; (Vit D) helps against depression;<\/li>\n<li>that there is a &#8220;salt of inner peace&#8221;;<\/li>\n<li>that the small substances are the crucial spark for the energy;<\/li>\n<li>that the gut brain and the other inhabitants living in the intestine have a clear say.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Read more about this in my <a href=\"https:\/\/bipolar-lotse.de\/en\/book-stability-you-can-eat\/\" title=\"Book: Stability you can eat?!\">book &#8220;Stability you can eat!?&#8221;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NUTRITIONFood is a basic need &#8211; you can&#8217;t do without it!
