The focus is on our own actions. It&#8217;s about &#8220;crossing the symbolic bridge&#8221; from being a passive patient to becoming an expert on your illness, taking control of your life and mental health.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/bipolar-lotse.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Blumenstrauss.jpg&#8221; title_text=&#8221;Bouquet of flowers&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.23.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.23.2&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>In each of the chapters you will find an explanation of the interconnections and, based on them, very specific measures on how you can tackle every single aspect &#8211; this flower &#8211; for yourself.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a few &#8220;flowers&#8221; from this bouquet of possibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Why is it important to focus on your <strong>healthy parts<\/strong>?<\/li>\n<li>How can we counter <strong>unhelpful thoughts and feelings<\/strong>, avoid catastrophizing, talk about feelings and communicate better, and what role does the &#8220;inner team&#8221; play in this?<\/li>\n<li>How can unhelpful beliefs be recognized and changed? What does <strong>good self-care<\/strong> mean?<\/li>\n<li>What are the first steps towards <strong>recovery<\/strong>?<\/li>\n<li>Why do <strong>neurotransmitters<\/strong> play such an important role?<\/li>\n<li>What are these neurotransmitters made of, where do their <strong>components<\/strong> come from, how can they function better?<\/li>\n<li>Why are <strong>intact cell membranes and functioning mitochondria<\/strong> so important for the brain and the psyche and what role do <strong>omega-3 fatty acids<\/strong> play in this?<\/li>\n<li>What is the significance of <strong>vitamin C, vitamin D and lithium<\/strong> as neuromodulators?<\/li>\n<li>Why is <strong>brain-friendly nutrition<\/strong> essential and what does it consist of?<\/li>\n<li>Which <strong>47 substances<\/strong> does the brain need and what happens if there is a deficiency?<\/li>\n<li>What role does the <strong>thyroid gland<\/strong> play in mental health and what does migraine have to do with the psyche?<\/li>\n<li>What insights has <strong>science<\/strong> gained in recent years? Here I present 17 different studies on this topic.
